came out from playing poker with friends, and SURPRISE the weather guy’s predicted 1-2 inches was more like 4-6.
it was super light sugary snow, so it blew all around making visibility about a car length, and it stuck amazingly well to the car. Low visibility AND my brake lights were covered, wish I’d known about my lights, that’s deadly!
stuck into the wheels means I had fun. but two days in the garage and it hadn’t melted before my drive to work. Note: remember to clear the snow from your wheels if it has turned to ice, it will REALLY throw off your wheel balance at highway speeds.
I’m not sure I’d be keen to be out and about in the snow in this beast!

I had snow/ice chunks built up in the wheels of my old Mazda3 once and as I hit about 45-50 MPH, it got downright scary.

that damage you can see on my bumper in front of the wheel is actually from a big chunk of ice falling off of a truck in front of me.
properly clearly the vehicle is valuable for both the drivers and those around us.

I actually used the engine block heater in my Ranger last night.

my engine seemed to be fine, cranked over with no issues etc. but my window motors could have used a heater it seems. I attempted to lower my window to offer some poor walking chap a ride and it was all RRRRrrrRRRRrrrrrrRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Yep, parked my old truck in a snowbank back in college and froze up the back of the wheels packed in snow. Most of it breaks off whel you go but the rest is brutal once you get up to speed.
Our family corolla wagon back in the day used to also be our ice fishing mobile. We had it so deep pushing snow over the hood that it all froze up in the skidplate and around the block.. it took a week or so to thaw it all out..

Definitely. My car was garage kept so now snow/ice on top of it but had slush freeze on the axles from my driving to work. Didn’t even realize until the damn thing started shaking up a storm.

Frozen seals. Even manual windows suck to roll down in the cold.
